Job summary

Topographic, Inc. is seeking a Geospatial Party Chief to lead data collection using UAS, LiDAR, and photogrammetry across multiple sites. The role combines field operations with post-processing of 3D data to deliver mapped products and analyses.

You will coordinate field crews, ensure safety and standards, and collaborate with pilots, technicians, and RPLS staff to produce accurate geospatial deliverables for diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with all required survey equipment.
• Strong math skills for field calculations.
• Experience retracing land boundaries and ALTA surveys.
• Familiar with Trimble, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil3D, Pix4D and related geospatial tools.
• Knowledge of state plane coordinates and geodetic methods.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Acquire airborne, mobile, and terrestrial data using remote sensing systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and prepare equipment.
• Process LIDAR data: classification, feature extraction, mapping.
• Work with point cloud data from various methods.
• Extract 3D and planimetric information; generate CAD mapping.
• Organize crew and resources to perform tasks efficiently.
• Manage daily field crew assignments and data collection.
• Ensure field activities meet company and industry standards.
• Enforce safety procedures and PPE use.
• Coordinate daily with Field Supervisor/Project Manager.
• Data downloading and daily logs.
• Mentor and train on tasks.
• Drive vehicle to job sites.
