The Army National Guard seeks a Geospatial Engineer to extract and supply geographic data that supports military operations and helps commanders visualize terrain for planning and combat scenarios.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with on-the-job instruction and a regular paycheck, plus tuition assistance and civilian career opportunities in surveying, cartography, and photogrammetry.

Qualifications

• Must have interest in geography, maps, and charts.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with drafting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain multiple geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering all aspects of the terrain.
