Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Geospatial Data Specialist to support collection, processing, and delivery of geospatial data for transportation and infrastructure projects.

You will work with surveyors, engineers, GIS professionals, and project managers to produce client-ready products. The role involves reality capture, mobile mapping, UAS, LiDAR, and GIS workflows, with opportunities to expand Hanson’s geospatial service capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience processing geospatial, survey, reality capture, or related datasets.
• Experience with large geospatial datasets and project file structures.
• Understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, datums, and geospatial accuracy requirements.
• Experience performing data quality control and validation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process survey, GNSS, mobile mapping, UAS, LiDAR, imagery, and other geospatial datasets to support project delivery.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure data accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Generate deliverables including point clouds, orthomosaics, and terrain models.
• Import, organize, manage, archive, and maintain project data and documentation.
• Support processing workflows, coordinate systems, and data integration.
