Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. seeks a Geospatial Data Specialist to support collection, processing, management, and delivery of geospatial data for transportation, government, and infrastructure projects.

You will work with surveyors, GIS professionals, and project teams to produce high-quality geospatial products and adapt to evolving technologies. Office locations include several US sites with travel as needed.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience processing geospatial datasets.
Experience with large geospatial datasets and organizing project files.
Understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, datums, and accuracy requirements.
Experience performing data quality control and validation.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Process geospatial datasets to support project delivery.
Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Generate deliverables: point clouds, orthomosaics, DTMs/DSMs, contours, and mapping products.
Import, organize, manage, archive, and maintain project data and documentation.
Support control processing, network adjustments, and coordinate system management.
Process reality capture data from mobile mapping, UAS, and terrestrial scanners.
Assist teams with data preparation, analysis, feature extraction, and visualization.
Develop and maintain standardized processing workflows, templates, and best practices.
Troubleshoot data quality, processing, and software issues.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve workflows and efficiency.
Maintain awareness of emerging geospatial technologies and trends.
