Qualifications

• 2+ years of production experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Python (or JavaScript or Java) and scripting for processing real data at volume.
• Track record building and sustaining operational data pipelines across multiple data formats and interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain pipeline constraints to analysts and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Stand up pipelines for incoming sensor data, including support for database tables and schemas.
• Create and maintain ETL processes for emergent sensor data.
• Implement data health alerting to detect issues before downstream analysts are impacted.
• Develop API-driven workflows to move sensor data across systems and security domains, collaborating with senior engineers.
• Ensure sensor data meets government-directed schemas, formats, and governance requirements.
• Assess differences in incoming sensor metadata, format, and structure, and determine impacts to existing pipelines.
• Pre-process and standardize data to support labeling and model testing.
• Perform geospatial imagery transformations, including chipping full-scene imagery and orthorectifying.
