Job summary

Garmin Ltd. seeks a Software Engineer 1 (C++ MEC MapTech) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will help build tools, libraries, and algorithms powering Garmin’s maps and work with Cartography and Map Technology teams to deliver trusted map experiences used across Garmin products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field OR equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for Garmin products and applications per Garmin coding standards.
• Build upon existing C++ solutions for maps and geospatial tooling.
• Troubleshoot and test software solutions; reproduce issues and fix defects.
• Use debugging tools, emulators, simulators, and analyzers to identify root causes.
• Participate in feature analysis and system trade-offs during product definition.
