Job summary

Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) seeks a Big Data Analyst to evaluate datasets and support government decision making. You will shape data engineering approaches and collaborate with software developers to translate requirements into actionable analytics.

You will document data gaps, work with end-users for SME support, and apply Python, SQL, Spark or PySpark to data challenges in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Herndon, VA.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5+ years experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or similar.
• Experience communicating findings to government officials and stakeholders.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Spark or PySpark in analytic contexts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing and developing dataset evaluations and assessments to inform government decision making.
• Shaping data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements within our applications.
• Identifying and documenting gaps within our data corpus and analytical capabilities.
• Working hand-in-hand with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented into an application.
• Working with end-users to provide SME support for various data or application questions and requests.
