Job summary

Cherokee Federal is hiring a Geographic Information Systems Technician to support installation planning at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam, Hawaii. The role emphasizes GeoBase data management, SDSFIE compliance, and GIS-based asset management across multiple platforms.

A CAC and DoD background are required. Responsibilities include leading AMP mapping, producing facility and utility maps, QA/QC across data sources, and delivering planning analyses to installation stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years GIS experience with emphasis on installation planning and asset management.
• Military GIS experience preferred and DoD-related data governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain installation GeoBase data, data models, and layers.
• Ensure GeoBase data complies with SDSFIE requirements.
• Lead development and updates of AMP and Sub-AMP mapping products.
• Produce various maps including asset inventories and infrastructure networks.
• Perform QA/QC and resolve discrepancies across GIS data sources.
• Prepare quarterly GeoBase validation reports and monthly reconciliations.
• Provide on-demand spatial analysis and planning support for installation stakeholders.
• Develop constraint maps and planning platform data layers.
