Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Mid-Level Geospatial Analyst to support a mission-critical intelligence program in Charlottesville, Virginia. The selected candidate will analyze geospatial data, develop intelligence products, and produce high-quality analytic assessments to enable informed decisions.

The role requires 3+ years of GIS experience with ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, GeoMedia PRO, or QGIS, plus open-source data collection and collaboration with analysts and customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GIS experience using ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, GeoMedia PRO, or QGIS to conduct GEOINT analysis in the DoD.
• 3+ years of experience with conducting open-source data collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination.
• Experience creating intelligence products supporting mission requirements.
• Experience representing an office or organization to internal and external audiences and providing customer service.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting strategic- and operational-level customers.
• Knowledge of GEOINT databases, including commercial databases.

Job Summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Mid-Level Geospatial Analyst to support a mission-critical intelligence program in Charlottesville, Virginia. The selected candidate will leverage specialized regional and functional expertise to analyze geospatial data, develop intelligence products, and produce high-quality analytic assessments. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to transform complex information into actionable intelligence that enables informed operational and strategic decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Develop intelligence products using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other analytic tools to support the warfighter.
• Aggregate and analyze geospatial information and produce visualizations and modeling to support the production of intelligence reports.
• Assist in identifying key locations and personalities within high-priority networks.
• You’ll act as a strong collaborator and mission-focused team member who is comfortable working with other analysts, mission partners, and customers.

Required Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience with using GIS, including ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, GeoMedia PRO, or QGIS, to conduct GEOINT analysis in the DoD
• 3+ years of experience with conducting open-source data collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination
• Experience with creating intelligence products supporting mission requirements
• Experience in representing an office or organization to internal and external audiences and providing customer service
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with supporting strategic- and operational-level customers
• Knowledge of GEOINT databases, including commercial databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with using business technologies, including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite, or Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Python and other coding languages
• Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community missions
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Normal office environment.

Travel

• Less than 5%.

Salary at Castalia Systems is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, position knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $95,000.00 to $104,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Castalia Systems’ total compensation package for employees.
