Job summary

GeoSearch is seeking a Geospatial Analyst II to join our team in Lakewood, CO or Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on developing and distributing aerial imagery, LiDAR, and other geospatial data products with high accuracy.

The candidate will work in a team environment, executing geospatial workflows, and contributing to data, services, and applications development and maintenance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS or related field preferred.
• 5 years of increasing technical knowledge in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing or surveying.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcSDE/enterprise geodatabase environments is required.
• Experience with hydrographic data conflation from multiple sources is required.
• Experience with LiDAR classification for surface model development and DEM creation is preferred.
• Experience with geospatial production tools (GeoCue, TerraScan, LP360, LAStools) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform geospatial workflow processes using GIS and remote sensing tech, including pre-processing imagery and digitizing vector features.
• Conflate hydrographic data by integrating, reconciling, and quality-checking features from multiple sources.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Geospatial Analyst II with 5 years of increasing technical knowledge in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or surveying, to be part of our team inLakewood, CO or Huntsville, AL. This position works in a team environment to execute geospatial tasks required to build data products that are both high accuracy and high quality. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of data, services and applications, with a primary focus on the development and distribution of aerial imagery, LiDAR, and other geospatial data products.

Responsibilities

• Perform geospatial workflow processes using GIS and remote sensing technology, including pre-processing imagery, digitizing vector features, LiDAR classification for surface model development, DEM creation, hydrographic breakline extraction, and assisting with metadata and project reporting.
• Perform hydrographic data conflation by integrating, reconciling, and quality-checking hydrographic features from multiple geospatial data sources.
• Support geospatial standards, product generation, and geodatabase management by serving as a technical specialist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
• 5 years of increasing technical knowledge in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or surveying.
• Experience with ESRI software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcSDE/enterprise geodatabase environments, is required.
• Experience with hydrographic data conflation, including integrating and reconciling hydrographic features from multiple sources, is required.
• Experience with LiDAR classification for surface model development, DEM production, and hydrographic breakline extraction is preferred.
• Experience with geospatial production tools (e.g., GeoCue, TerraScan, LP360, LAStools) is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment to execute geospatial workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and experience solving geospatial problems are highly desired.
