Job summary

WGI is seeking a Geospatial Analyst III with 7+ years of increasing technical knowledge in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or surveying for our Huntsville, AL, or Lakewood, CO office.

This position focuses on building high-accuracy geospatial data products, including aerial imagery and LiDAR, while contributing to data, services and applications development and distribution in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of increasing technical knowledge in GIS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or surveying.
  • Experience with ESRI software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcSDE/enterprise geodatabase environments, is required.
  • Experience with hydrographic data conflation, including integrating and reconciling hydrographic features from multiple sources, is required.
  • Experience with LiDAR classification for surface model development, DEM production, and hydrographic breakline extraction is preferred.
  • Experience with geospatial production tools (e.g., GeoCue, TerraScan, LP360, LAStools) is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment to execute geospatial workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience solving geospatial problems are highly desired.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa.

  • Support geospatial standards, product generation, and geodatabase management by serving as a technical specialist.

Overview
