Job summary

ConocoPhillips in Houston is seeking Geosciences Interns to interpret subsurface data and support exploration and development projects. You will work with a mentor and a team to learn about basin studies, exploration plays, prospects and field development.

Assignments are 10–12 weeks, typically at Midland, TX; Houston, TX; or Anchorage, AK, with start mid-late May 2027. You must be legally eligible to work in the United States and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics,

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pursuing a Master's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Available for a 10–12 week internship starting mid-late May 2027.
• GPA 3.5 on a 4.0 scale preferred.

Responsibilities

• 3D seismic interpretation and support for hydrocarbon exploration.
• Collaborate with a mentor and team on basin studies and field development.
• Assist with prospect generation and data analysis for various plays.
• Gain exposure to multiple projects across locations.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field

Pursuing Master's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, or related field

Minimum GPA 3.5 on a 4.0 scale preferred
