Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a software developer to join a scrum team. You will develop and support proprietary seismic-imaging applications and collaborate with researchers to turn prototypes into production-ready code.

The role requires strong C/C++ in scientific computing, Linux experience, and the ability to work across globally distributed partners while contributing to HPC optimization and future hardware decisions.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Python, modern C++ (i.e., C++11 and later), Unix shell scripting languages (BASH primarily)
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline development, and GitHub Actions
• Object oriented design principles
• Parallel computing technologies (e.g., OpenMP, MPI, CUDA)
• Source control and work item tracking systems (e.g., Git, ADO)
• Experience following an Agile (Scrum) software development process
• Knowledge of simulation software development, specifically in seismic imaging or geoscience domain
• Experience with profiling tools (Intel VTune, NVIDIA Nsight, gprof) and performance tuning
• Top 3 skill sets/technologies required for qualification:
• Python, modern C++ 11 and later, BASH
• Experience with using third party APIs
• Knowledge of simulation software development, specifically in seismic imaging or geoscience domain
