Job summary

INTERA Incorporated in Austin seeks a Geoscience Technician to support groundwater, environmental, geophysical, and subsurface projects across Texas and the western U.S.

You will manage, analyze, and visualize large geoscience datasets, coordinate with senior staff, and develop technical visualizations for deliverables. Office-based with occasional field support, the role offers growth in data workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, GIS, Environmental Science, Geological/ Petroleum Eng, Data Science, or related field.
• Zero to three years of geoscience, environmental consulting, groundwater investigations, or related experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Compile, organize, maintain, and quality-check geologic, hydrogeologic, geophysical, environmental, and water-quality datasets.
• Create and maintain GIS databases and project maps.
• Process and analyze geologic, geophysical, groundwater, and environmental datasets using industry-standard software.
• Develop data-processing workflows using Excel, ArcGIS, and Python.
• Prepare figures, tables, and reports for technical deliverables.
