Job summary

INTERA Incorporated is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist / Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead groundwater and water-resource projects in Austin, TX. The role demands active licensure as a Texas PG/PE, 10+ years of experience, and strong leadership to guide staff and deliver high-quality work.

The successful candidate will manage scope, budget, and schedule, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with clients and regulators while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PG or PE license.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in consulting, water resources, groundwater supply, or related fields.
• Ability to lead technical work with accountability for scope, schedule, budget and deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and project manager for hydrogeologic projects.
• Lead field and office investigations supporting groundwater supply and planning.
• Develop conceptual hydrogeologic models using diverse data.
• Plan and direct field programs including drilling and well installation.
• Prepare deliverables for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Mentor staff and provide day-to-day technical direction.
• Communicate progress with clients and project stakeholders.
