Job summary

Baptist Health Georgetown is seeking a Part-time Emergency Department Technician/Nursing Assistant to support ED operations and patient care in the Georgetown, KY location. You will work under the ED RN, assist with patient transport, specimen handling and data entry, ensuring efficient flow and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification with BLS, high school diploma, and comfort with hospital computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification is required or validated clinical experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous laboratory or customer service experience is preferred.
• Data entry and computer experience and/or phlebotomy/POCT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions within the ED team under the direction of the RN.
• Demonstrates effective communication and patient care coordination.
• Maintains computer systems and data entry for patient care.
• Collects, processes, transports and analyzes specimens per policy.
