Job summary

Terracon in Alabama seeks a field and laboratory technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will collect samples, document findings, and communicate results to the Project Manager daily.

Under supervision, you will gain experience with density gauges, safety protocols, and quality control on projects, supporting scheduling, equipment upkeep, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ACI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Relevant certifications including Nuclear Density Gauge preferred within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittals.
• Maintain equipment and assist with project scheduling and logistics.
• Follow strict safety standards and quality procedures.
