Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Geophysics Technician to support geophysical investigations, collect and process subsurface data, and assist in preparing figures and reports. The role involves fieldwork using seismic, EM, GPR, and magnetometry, with data management and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

The position emphasizes safety, data quality, and adherence to client requirements, with opportunities to learn standard geophysical software and contribute to project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in geophysics or geoscience.
• 0–1 year of relevant geophysics experience.
• Familiarity with seismic, EM, GPR, and magnetometry.
• Ability to record and manage field data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deploy, and maintain geophysical equipment.
• Conduct field data collection using seismic, resistivity, magnetics, and GPR.
• Support processing and preliminary interpretation of datasets.
• Develop figures, reports, and documentation of geophysical findings.
• Review background data and maps to support field planning.
• Maintain safety procedures during field operations.
• Log calibration and data files.
• Learn geophysical software tools for data processing and visualization.
