Job summary

Grade Potential Tutoring in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking an in-person tutor to support a 9th grader in Geometry Honors. The student is struggling and needs regular, one-on-one sessions at home. You’ll deliver tailored math support in a comfortable home setting, building confidence and study skills.

Sessions are 1 hour, three times a week, with after-school windows (4pm–8pm Tue/Wed/Fri) and weekend availability. Teaching certification is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Willing to travel within 5–10 miles for in-home sessions.
• Must not be a minor due to insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

About the student

• The student isin 9th grade attending Wando High School. He needs to work with a tutor forsupport with Geometry Honors (The class does have some Algebra in it.) Thestudent is struggling and failing. The family has materials and are open forthe tutor to suggest more.
  
• The goal is for the student to work with the tutor on an ongoing basis to make sure he passes the class.
  
• The family want 1hour sessions 3 times a week during the student's available times. They are available between4pm-8pm Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday as well as between 8am-6pm on Saturday& Sunday.
  
• The familywants to meet in-person with the tutor at their home in Mount Pleasant.
  

Requirements

REQUIRED

• You have experience teaching/tutoring.
• You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles).
• Due to insurance requirements, applicant must not be a minor.
  
• Tutor needs to be available for 1hour sessions 3 times a week during the student's available times. (They are available between4pm-8pm Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday as well as between 8am-6pm on Saturday& Sunday.)
