Job summary

Brahma Consulting Group is partnering on a Geometry Pipeline Engineer role to build geometry and data infrastructure for a new class of AI foundation models in engineering design.

You will work with the research team on data representation, model architecture, and scalable data pipelines. Strong CAD/geometry background with deep understanding of 3D representations is required.

Job description

We are working with a well-funded AI startup that is hiring a Geometry Pipeline Engineer to build the geometry and data infrastructure behind a new class of foundation models for engineering design. The team has already shipped a generative model producing structured 3D CAD and is training the next version. You will work alongside the research team on decisions spanning data representation and model architecture.

What you will do

• Build high-performance pipelines that ingest CAD and 3D data across file formats, converting geometry, feature history, and parametric data into representations suitable for ML training.
• Work programmatically with solid geometry: extract it, manipulate it, and reason about it at scale.
• Shape the model itself. The data representation is not settled, and you will help settle it.
• Build automated extraction, encoding, reconstruction, and verification systems across the pipeline.
• Lead data collection and curation, depending on experience.

What we are looking for

• Substantial experience in computational geometry, geometry processing, or CAD and simulation software. Roughly 6 years or more, though we care more about depth than years.
• Strong production C++ (Python welcome alongside it). You have shipped geometry code that holds up at scale, not one-off scripts.
• Real fluency with 3D representations: B-rep, meshes, point clouds, parametric or feature-based models, or the conversions between them.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity. You will help define the problem, not just implement a spec.

Strong signals

• Geometry work that carries engineering or manufacturing semantics: manufacturability analysis, geometry repair, CAM or CNC, additive manufacturing, simulation setup.
• Experience feeding geometry into ML training pipelines, or building datasets at scale.
• Depth in a solid modeling kernel (OpenCASCADE, Parasolid, ACIS) or in CAD file format interoperability.
• Research background in geometry, graphics, or scientific computing, especially with a publication record.
