Carnaby Fox in San Francisco is hiring five CAD/Geometry Engineers to work at the intersection of computational geometry, CAD kernel engineering, and AI research. You will build geometry and data pipelines powering advanced AI models for structured 3D parametric CAD, collaborating with AI researchers to evolve data representation, geometry processing, reconstruction, verification, and model architecture.
The team aims to advance AI-driven engineering with geometry backbone ownership, B-reps,
We’re hiring 5 talented CAD / Geometry Engineers to work on the intersection of computational geometry, CAD kernel engineering, and AI research.
Total Compensation: Up to $300,000 – $400,000, including bonus and competitive equity
Visa transfers supported, including OPT and H-1B transfers
Visa sponsorship available, including new H-1B and TN sponsorships where applicable
This is an opportunity to work on the geometry and data infrastructure behind next-generation CAD foundation models — building systems that enable AI to understand, reason about, and ultimately engineer physical systems.
As a CAD / Geometry Engineer, you’ll build the geometry and data pipelines that power advanced AI models for structured 3D parametric CAD.
You’ll work closely with an AI research team and contribute to decisions around data representation, geometry processing, reconstruction, verification, and model architecture.
This position is not primarily a CAD software-user role.
Candidates whose experience is limited to being a SolidWorks/Fusion power user or holding CAD software certifications, without experience in geometry algorithms, CAD kernels, computational geometry, or geometry pipelines, may not be a fit.
You’ll be working on core geometry infrastructure for foundation-model-scale AI.
The team has already developed a generative model for structured 3D parametric CAD and is continuing development toward increasingly capable AI systems for engineering design.
You’ll join a small, highly technical team with a flat structure, working closely with experienced researchers, engineers, and founders. The team includes backgrounds spanning Meta, Autodesk Research, Stanford, MIT, Samsung Research, and CMU.
We’re particularly interested in engineers who enjoy working at the algorithmic and systems level and have deep expertise in:
Computational Geometry | CAD Kernels | B-rep | Parametric CAD | NURBS | Solid Modeling | C++ | Python | Geometry Processing | AI/ML Data Pipelines
If you’ve worked on geometry algorithms, CAD kernel internals, or large-scale geometry processing systems and want to apply that expertise to AI-driven engineering, we’d love to hear from you.
