Job summary

Spectral Labs seeks a CAD/Geometry Engineer to build geometry pipelines and work with CAD kernels for ML data pipelines. You will shape data representations and contribute to model architecture alongside researchers.

You will collaborate with a small team on high-impact projects, with opportunities to lead data collection and participate in end-to-end system development in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in computational geometry, CAD data processing, and/or geometry kernel development.
• Direct experience with Parasolid, ACIS, or comparable kernel API; understanding kernel internals and geometry math.
• Strong knowledge of B-rep geometry, NURBS curves/surfaces, and solid modeling fundamentals.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and comfort working in complex codebases.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance geometry pipelines that ingest CAD data across formats, extracting B-rep geometry, feature trees, and parametric data for ML consumption.
• Work inside or on top of CAD kernels to extract, manipulate, and reason about solid geometry programmatically.
• Collaborate with the research team on model architecture and data representation decisions as the processed data evolves.
• Build automated systems for CAD data extraction, encoding, reconstruction, and verification across the full pipeline.
• Lead data collection and curation efforts as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a small, elite team of researchers and engineers across domains.
