Job summary

EOG Resources is seeking a Geomechanics domain advisor to support multiple disciplines and assets. The role requires presenting clear technical summaries to teams and management, advancing geomechanical innovations, and fostering collaboration across geoscience, engineering and information systems.

Occasional travel to divisions will be necessary to fulfill duties. The candidate should bring 7+ years in Geomechanics within the oil & gas sector, a BS in Geology (Geophysics preferred), and strong

Qualifications

• Must have a BS in Geology, preferably Geophyscis.
• Must have 7+ yrs of Geomechanics based experience in oil & gas industry, less experience will be considered with advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• Able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must have good presentation, communication and technical writing skills.
• Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with multi-functional teams. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize projects.

• Serve as Geomechanics domain technical advisor for all EOG disciplines and assets

Training and knowledge exchange

• Develop/lead internal Geomechanics training course
• Attend/present at EOG internal technical conferences
• Help mentor young Geoscientists/Engineers in Geomechanics and EOG best practices
• Support additional in-house training efforts

External/EOG relations

• Build and maintain Geomechanics industry/academia networks and relationships

EOG representation

• Purveyor and practitioner of EOG culture

Job Requirements
