Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Silver City area seeks a geomechanical engineer to oversee slope stability and geomechanical projects.

You will review data, oversee outside consultants, and interface with mine design and planning teams to optimize slope safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates bring a strong background in rock mechanics, mining engineering, and proven ability to communicate technical results to site personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in mining/geotechnical engineering with relevant hard rock mining experience.
• Ability to analyze rock mechanics and slope stability data and draw valid conclusions.
• Knowledge of safety practices and hazard recognition.

Responsabilités

• Provide geomechanical oversight and review for pit slope and design planning.
• Review slope stability data and communicate results to mine personnel.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance slope stability program.
