Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Bagdad, Arizona. You will support slope stability, geotechnical analyses, and project oversight within a hard rock open pit setting.

The role collaborates with mine design teams and outside consultants to ensure safe, efficient operations. The position requires a relevant engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and experience in mining geotechnical applications, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s with years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Mining Engineering and Geotechnical applications in hard rock open pit environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD; ability to analyze geotechnical data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in geomechanical project oversight and review with outside consultants and mine design teams.
• Assist in slope stability data collection, analysis, and remedial work including monitoring data processing.
