Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Geomaticist / Survey Technician to join our team in Houston or Austin, Texas. You will handle field and office geomatics tasks, including data processing, mapping, and deliverables under licensed supervision.

The role emphasizes boundary analysis, point cloud processing, legal descriptions, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. LSIT and related experience are valued in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• Two years of professional experience as a Geomaticist, Survey Technician, or in a related surveying role.
• LSIT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary analysis and survey calculations under supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS).
• Review field notes, process survey data, extract features from point clouds, and prepare survey mapping deliverables.
• Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits, plats, and other survey documents.
• Assist with preliminary reports, project cost estimates, and labor-hour estimates.
• Coordinate and direct technicians and support staff as needed.
• Support project teams in delivering high-quality surveying and geomatics services.
