WSP is seeking an Assistant Survey Project Manager to join the Geomatics Department in Lawrenceville, NJ. This role blends office management, technical QA, and staff mentorship while supporting diverse survey projects.

You will oversee survey plans, coordinate field crews, and liaise with clients, providing guidance to field staff and CAD drafters under supervision. This position emphasizes safety and collaboration within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or related field with 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of land surveying in lieu.
• Experience in both field and office surveying tasks.
• Proficiency with drafting and survey data processing software.
• Boundary research, compilations, and determinations experience.
• Willingness to mentor others and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of survey plans and deliverables under the guidance of senior management.
• Assist with scheduling field crews and updating project tracking software.
• Perform initial QA/QC reviews of work by survey technicians and CAD drafters.
• Prepare survey reports and review survey data for accuracy.
• Interact with clients by email, phone, or meetings; represent WSP professionally.
• Assist in mentoring and educating new staff.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.
