Job summary

Schneider Geomatics is seeking interns/co-ops at our West Lafayette, IN office near Purdue University, with additional offices in Indianapolis, Vincennes, Harrison, and Charlotte. This opportunity is ideal for students in Geomatics or Civil Engineering who want real-world field and office experience.

Interns will support project teams, perform Civil3D tasks, conduct research, and gain exposure to surveying and civil engineering workflows in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related curriculum.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
• Motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and other team members in completion of a wide-range of projects.
• Perform research as required under the supervision of the Project Manager.
• Office Interns will primarily perform duties in Civil3D software.
• Field Interns will be working primarily outside in all types of weather. Interns will assist a Party Chief in the completion of Survey field duties (Trimble equipment).

Schneider is searching for those interested in a 2023 Internship or Co-op opportunities. Our office located in West Lafayette in close proximity to Purdue campus. In addition, we have locations in Indianapolis, Indiana; Vincennes, Indiana; Harrison, Ohio; and Charlotte, North Carolina.
