Job summary

Centerra Gold is seeking a Superintendent, Geology for the Goldfield District Project in Goldfield, Nevada. The role leads the site geology team, ensures high-quality geological data, ore control, and reconciliation to optimize open-pit mining and heap leach operations.

The candidate will collaborate with Mine Engineering, Metallurgy, and Processing to maximize ore recovery and align with mine plans, supporting exploration and data integrity across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering required.
• Professional designation P.Geo. preferred and considered an asset.
• 7-10+ years in open-pit geology, heap leach experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site geology team and QA/QC programs.
• Oversee grade/ore control and geological mapping.
• Define ore/waste boundaries with mining contractor and Mine Engineering.
• Develop and reconcile geological/resource models.
• Support resource definition and exploration activities as needed.
• Collaborate with Metallurgy and Processing on ore characteristics.
• Provide geological input into blast and dig planning.
• Monitor geological risks affecting production and recovery.
