Job summary

Centerra Gold is seeking a Superintendent, Geology for the Goldfield District Project in Goldfield, Nevada. You will lead the site geology team and ensure effective geological services to support safe, efficient open-pit mining and heap leach operations.

Reporting to Technical Services, you will guide ore/waste delineation, geological modelling, and reconciliation while collaborating with Mine Engineering and processing teams for ore recovery optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related discipline.
P.Geo designation preferred or considered an asset.
7–10+ years of progressive geology experience, open-pit mining.
Experience leading a geology team in a Superintendent or senior role.
Strong experience with grade control, ore control, modelling, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the site geology team including geologists and technicians.
Establish grade and ore control programs to support open-pit mining.
Oversee geological mapping, sampling, QA/QC, and data integrity.
Provide guidance to define ore/waste boundaries for mining and processing.
Manage short- and medium-term geological activities aligned with mine plans.
Support resource models, reconciliation, and optimization of ore recovery.
