Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credits of lecture and laboratory courses each academic year.
• Teach undergraduate courses in geology with focus on structural geology, tectonics, and field geology.
• Supervise undergraduate research projects and mentor students.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary research and education initiatives.
• Provide instructional support for the department’s field school as needed.
• Participate in departmental, college, university, and community service.
• Develop innovative course materials and teaching methods to enhance student learning.
• Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment within the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
