Job summary

The Kansas Geological Survey at The University of Kansas is hiring a Library Assistant in Lawrence for on-site work. The role involves data entry, scanning records, inventorying collections, and integrating donations into the permanent collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of library or related experience.
• Experience organizing, categorizing, and shelving records.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Enter data and scan records; proof data and scans.
• Inventory, move, sort, and organize current collections.
• Recycle or integrate donations into permanent collection.
• Provide assistance to the public and internal staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
