Job summary

The University of Kansas Lawrence Campus is seeking a Temporary Library Assistant to support archival processing, data entry, and scanning within a public library setting. You will sort through collections, inventory materials, and help integrate donations into the permanent collection while ensuring accessibility of state geological records.

Work hours are on-site, typically 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with a 40-hour week (30–39 hours also considered).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of library or related experience.
• Experience organizing, categorizing, and shelving records.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Enter data and scan records; verify data accuracy.
• Inventory current collections and organize materials.
• Recycle or integrate donations into permanent collection.
• Assist the public and internal staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
