Job description

Position Overview:

The Geology Intern will support USA Rare Earth’s rare earth exploration program at Round Top, based in Sierra Blanca, Texas. This role is designed for a graduate-level geology student with a strong academic foundation in mineralogy, economic geology, or a related discipline. The intern will gain hands‑on experience with core logging, geological data collection and interpretation, sample characterization, and other exploration activities supporting the evaluation and development of the Round Top deposit. The role will work alongside experienced geologists and technical professionals while contributing to active exploration projects.

Work Environment:

The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, construction site, and active mining site. This work will be performed on‑site at Round Top Mountain, including on drilling pads, and in the on‑site core storage facility.

Noise level:

Exposure will vary and include normal office noise, mining site noise (i.e. drilling activity and heavy equipment noise), and construction site noise depending on project phase and location.
