Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc. invites motivated students to join the 2026 Intern program at the Wharf mine in South Dakota. The internship offers hands-on exposure to mining operations and the chance to contribute to real projects under experienced supervisors.

Participants will collaborate on a group presentation addressing a company area for improvement; the program culminates with an expenses-paid Chicago trip to meet leaders and peers across the company.

We are a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing precious metals producer with seven wholly-owned operations: the New Afton gold-copper mine in British Columbia, Canada, the Rainy River gold-silver mine in Ontario, Canada, the Las Chispas silver-gold mine in Sonora, Mexico, the Palmarejo gold-silver mine in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. About The Job

The 2026 Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and contribute to the development of cutting‑edge mining projects. You will be exposed to various aspects of mining operations. This internship will provide you with a well‑rounded understanding of the mining sector and the opportunity to work on real projects that make a difference.

Each intern will be creatively and technically working together to create a group presentation, highlighting a company area of improvement. The summer internship experience truly culminates with all interns traveling for an expenses paid trip to Chicago! This includes each group presenting their project, meeting and learning from key company leaders, as well as networking with their fellow bright early careers participants across the company.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in required field
• Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe production
• Work in all conditions and environments, varying amount of time on the job is outdoors
• Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis
• Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily
