Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Geology Drilling Technician for the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine in Colorado. The role focuses on safe, accurate handling and tracking of geological samples and drilling data within the Drill Services and Geology teams.

You will participate in safety meetings, maintain organized work areas, manage sample collection and shipments, and assist field crews while conforming to QA/QC standards and data entry requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy; familiarity with common software tools is required.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and work in a mining environment.
• Ability to learn new tasks, problem solve, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and hazard reporting.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas.
• Collect and deliver drill core and RC samples from contractor(s).
• Organize and store samples; split or saw rock core.
• Record QA-QC standards and blanks in submittals.
