Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Geologist or Hydrogeologist to evaluate subsurface data, generate maps and cross-sections, and collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists on diverse site investigations. You will oversee field monitoring, boring investigations, and soil classification, and prepare plans and reports for remediation projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Geology or Hydrogeology (Master’s preferred), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on projects spanning

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related geology or hydrogeology experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Certification in field of expertise (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Conduct site testing and advise on systems design for small projects.
• Assist senior geologists on larger projects.
• Perform site visits and data collection.
• Direct field staff to sample, test and document activities.
• Develop written client proposals for senior review.
• Evaluate lab and field data and summarize in reports.
• Contribute in client meetings regarding project tasks.
• Oversee work by junior geologists/hydrogeologists.
