Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. seeks a geologist/seismic specialist to perform basic to moderate evaluations and analyses for surface and subsurface conditions related to water supply, contaminants, and geotechnical assessments.

You will prepare cross sections, maps, and QA/QC analyses, develop draft calculations for regulatory compliance, and contribute to technical papers. This role involves significant travel and collaboration with sales staff to showcase capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD/CADD software and 3D/4D modeling.
• Fundamental understanding of scientific methods and processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs geologic/seismic evaluations and related analyses for water, contamination, and geotechnical projects.
• Creates cross sections, isoconcentration maps, and QA/QC analyses.
• Develops draft evaluations to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
• Supports publishing of technical papers and designs.
• Attends conferences to promote firm capabilities.
• Collaborates with sales staff to raise visibility of services.
• Other duties as required.
