Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Geologist to join our Environmental Services Team in Hartford, CT. Under direct supervision, you will perform basic geologic evaluations and hydrogeologic analyses for water supply, contaminants, and geotechnical assessments.

You will engage in field and office work, including well logging, mapping, and QA/QC; upholding regulatory standards; and contributing to technical papers and design documentation. 20%–40% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline.
• 0 years travel may be required; travel frequency contingent on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Well geologic logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing and/or soils characterization and data compilation.
• Preparing cross sections, Iso-concentration maps, and QA/QC analysis.
• Developing draft evaluations for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensuring firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments.
• Contributing to Talent Knowledge Management with white papers and technical designs.
