Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Geologist/Geophysicist to support EOR and Low Carbon Solutions projects from Spring, TX, on a 12‑month assignment. The role requires integrating geological, petrophysical, seismic, and reservoir data to drive subsurface decisions and optimization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with reservoir characterization and static reservoir modeling.
• Working knowledge of EOR methods and CCS/CCUS & Storage principles.
• Strong petrophysics background with interpretation of log, core, and seismic data.
• Experience with reserve estimation or storage volume assessment.
• Strong technical writing skills for documentation and audits.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Integrate geological, petrophysical, seismic, and reservoir data to support EOR and carbon storage projects.
• Develop, update, and maintain static reservoir models.
• Evaluate reservoir heterogeneity and identify opportunities to improve reservoir performance.
• Support EOR opportunity screening, pattern surveillance, and optimization efforts.
• Assess carbon storage potential while balancing reservoir value and long-term asset performance.
• Provide subsurface input for abandonment evaluations, risk assessments, and SSHE-related reviews.
• Support regulatory compliance activities and ensure alignment with applicable requirements.
• Assist with annual volume certification for low carbon operations.
• Prepare technical documentation, reserve/storage volume assessments, audit materials, and regulatory reports.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including geoscience, reservoir engineering, operations, and environmental groups.

Overview

A leading energy organization is seeking an experienced Geologist to support Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Low Carbon Solutions (LCS) projects on a one-year assignment based in Spring, Texas. This role will support subsurface evaluation activities by integrating geological, petrophysical, seismic, and reservoir engineering data to improve reservoir performance and assess carbon storage opportunities. The position works closely with geoscience, reservoir engineering, operations, environmental, and regulatory teams to develop technically sound solutions that support operational, compliance, and sustainability goals.
