Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a SETA team in Las Cruces, NM. The role covers broad systems engineering and technical advisory responsibilities across multiple mission projects from concepts to deployment and operations.

You will collaborate with government agencies, SPOs, and operations teams to integrate GEOINT space missions into ground-based architectures, while ensuring site processes and baselines meet evolving mission needs. Travel CONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizen with TS/SCI and polygraph
• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years, or Master's with 12+ years, or PhD/JD with 9+ years
• Expertise across full system engineering lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance
• Experience in project management supporting delivery, integration, and transition of mission systems
• Ability to work independently on multiple government programs and large projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to brief senior government managers
• Willingness to travel CONUS as needed

Responsibilities

• Support Chief Engineer and government staff to execute SE&I activities across customer site.
• Oversee site system engineering processes and documentation for site baselines.
• Collaborate with SPOs and government agencies to integrate GEOINT space missions.
• Ensure understanding of site integration needs and processes.
• Develop standards, processes, and operations/maintenance plans.
• Review and evaluate technical documentation (RFCs, CONOPs, requirements, risks).
• Represent government interests at forums and provide analyses to customers.
• Serve as liaison between GPOC and project managers to monitor progress.
• Occasional CONUS travel.
