Job summary

SAIC in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Systems Engineer to join an elite team delivering SETA services across multiple mission systems. You will support SE&I activities from concept through deployment and maintenance, collaborating with government staff and SPOs.

Responsibilities include executing site system engineering processes, reviewing technical documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet evolving mission needs. Some CONUS travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Expertise in full system engineering life cycle from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Experience with project management delivering, integrating, and transitioning mission systems.
• Ability to work independently across multiple government customers and large, complex projects.
• Polished written and verbal communication with interpersonal skills and judgment.
• Experience briefing senior government managers and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Familiar with GEOINT spacecraft operations, space operations knowledge, and governance policies.
• Awareness of AI, MBSE, Agile, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support Chief Engineer and government staff to execute SE&I activities across customer sites.
• Oversee site engineering processes and baselines to meet evolving mission needs.
• Collaborate with SPOs and agencies to integrate GEOINT space missions.
• Ensure delivering organization understands site integration needs and processes.
• Assist in developing standards, processes and maintenance plans.
• Review and evaluate technical documentation (RFCs, CONOPS, requirements, risks).
• Represent government interests at forums and provide analysis to customers.
• Serve as liaison between GPOC and project managers to monitor progress.
• Occasional CONUS travel.
