Job summary

The successful candidate will teach Geography courses on the Madera Community College at Oakhurst Campus and at off-site locations as needed, using a variety of pedagogies and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.

Qualifications

• Master's in geography or equivalent required.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered for equivalency.
• Geography credentials meet minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Geography courses as assigned.
• Use diverse pedagogies and integrating a wide range of instructional delivery systems for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Use effective teaching methods aligned with course objectives and approved outlines.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments and exams; maintain syllabi and records.
• Turn in all required grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner; fulfill duties as required by regulations.

Education

Master’s in geography

Bachelor’s in geography and Master’s in geology, history, meteorology or oceanography

A valid California Community College Credential
