Job summary

Clovis Community College invites applications for a Geography Instructor in a part-time faculty pool. The position supports diverse student populations and equity-minded teaching, with duties including delivering geography courses across formats (face-to-face, online, hybrid) and contributing to curriculum delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a geography masters (or geography undergrad with another master in geology, history, meteorology or oceanography), or a valid California CC credential, or

Qualifications

• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse student populations and equity-minded practice as part of teaching.
• Master's in geography; or Bachelor's in geography and Master's in geology, history, meteorology or oceanography; or a valid California Community College Credential; or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Geography courses as assigned.
• Use varied pedagogies and technology across face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Maintain course outlines of record and adhere to district curriculum requirements.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely grading and feedback.
• Turn in required grading and evaluation reports promptly.
