Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a GIS Technician to enter, process, and maintain equipment asset information in an ESRI GIS database. The role requires hands-on ArcGIS experience, strong data management skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

The position is onsite in Birmingham, AL, with a pay range of $23–$33.25 per hour on a W2 basis and a contract engagement. You will support data processing, asset records, and related GIS tasks in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field; a GIS certificate; or at least 2 years of full-time GIS work experience.

Responsibilities

• Input, process, and maintain power distribution line and equipment asset data in an ESRI GIS database.
• Ensure GIS information and asset records are accurately maintained.
• Support GIS data processing and maintenance activities.

Job Overview

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of power distribution lines and equipment.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience with CAD (Computer‑Aided Drafting).
