Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. seeks a GEOMAP Data Engineer to join the Air Force GeoBase team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves architecting geospatial solutions, Python scripting in Esri environments, and migrating legacy apps to AWS Cloud One.

On-site with one remote day weekly, requires active security clearance and US citizenship. You will develop GIS tools, dashboards, and enterprise services, integrate data across systems, and ensure high performance while collaborating with a large, mission-focused

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Python scripting in Esri ArcGIS environments.
• Expert knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities including ArcGIS Pro & Portal administration.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS cloud environments and migrating GIS services.
• Familiarity with SDSFIE or similar geospatial data standards.
• Strong written communication and data quality Assurance.
• Experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom applications, web services, and enterprise solutions using Python.
• Automate complex geospatial data processing tasks and routine geoprocessing operations.
• Design user-friendly interfaces and ensure performance and quality.
• Integrate data across applications and oversee code reviews.
• Create and manage GEOMAP dashboards and Portal content with enterprise teams.
• Maintain and improve enterprise geoprocessing services.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing GIS applications for efficiency.
• Manage on-premises data gateways and integrations with other systems.
• Support GIS software, scripts, and tool performance in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Upgrade GIS applications and migrate services to Cloud One (AWS).
• Apply GeoBase Agile framework for task visibility and project transparency.
