Job summary
Woolpert is hiring a GEOMAP Data Engineer to join the Air Force GeoBase team in San Antonio, TX. The role is on-site with four days at Lackland AFB and one day remote, reporting to the Geospatial Systems Team Leader.
The candidate will architect and implement geospatial solutions, automate processes in Esri environments, migrate legacy apps to AWS Cloud One, and collaborate with enterprise teams to ensure data quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Active Secret (or higher) security clearance.
- Background check and drug screening.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Expert knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS) and on-prem data gateways.
- Experience with SDSFIE or similar spatial data models.
Responsibilities
- Develop Python-based apps, web services and enterprise solutions.
- Automate complex data processing and geoprocessing tasks for AF geospatial systems.
- Design user-friendly interfaces and ensure performance/quality.
- Integrate data across apps and review code, automation, dashboards.
- Create and manage GEOMAP dashboards and Portal content.
- Migrate GIS apps to AWS Cloud One and manage geo services.
- Support GIS software, scripts, and tool performance.
- Collaborate using Jira/Confluence within the GeoBase framework.
