Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to pediatric dentists during exams and treatments.
• Prepare treatment areas and sterilize necessary instruments.
• Take dental X-rays following safety protocols.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
• Utilize expanded functions as permitted by state law.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and nutrition.
• Manage patient flow and appointment schedules.
• Record patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Assist in managing anxious or uncooperative pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a supportive environment.
