Job summary

Apple Tree Dental in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Licensed Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our caring team. This role supports the pediatric dentist with examinations and procedures, provides chairside assistance, and helps ensure a positive dental experience for children.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, accredited dental assisting training, Minnesota radiology certification, CPR, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting course.
• Minnesota Dental Radiology Certificate (to take X-rays).
• Current CPR (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and procedures.
• Provide chairside support to ensure patient comfort.
• Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterilized treatment area.
• Accurately document patient information and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting course
• Active licensure in Minnesota, DANB certification, or equivalent state jurisprudence for performing specified tasks
• Current CPR (BLS) certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Passion for working with children and ensuring a positive dental experience
• Minnesota Dental Radiology Certificate course to complete X-rays

$27.50 - $35 an hour
