Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates in St. Paul and Fridley is seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant to join our pediatric team. This role focuses on chairside assistance, patient preparation, radiography, sterilization, and expanded functions while keeping pediatric patients comfortable and engaged.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dental Assistant with Minnesota license.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Ability to work Mondays and Fridays at St. Paul and Fridley locations.

Responsabilités

• Provide chairside assistance during exams, treatments and procedures.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays following pediatric safety protocols.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
• Utilize expanded functions per Minnesota state law (impressions, sealants, coronal polishing, fluoride).
• Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage patient flow and scheduling to minimize wait times.
• Document patient information in the EHR with HIPAA compliance.
• Support anxious pediatric patients with appropriate behavior guidance.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, staff, and families.
